The checker examines robots and googlebot meta directives and the X-Robots-Tag header for explicit noindex or none instructions applying to Google’s general search crawler. It does not render JavaScript or establish Google’s current indexing decision.

Checks use the same public scanner as our broader SEO checker. Five checks per request identity per UTC day, shared across tools, with a 100-check daily service ceiling. The check follows the submitted URL and its redirects and reads robots.txt; it does not crawl the website.
